Once your shop earns over $10,000 (GBP equivalent) in the past 365 days, Etsy's Offsite Ads becomes compulsory at 12%. Below that threshold, it's entirely your choice - opt in at 15%, or select N/A.

VAT position On the Standard scheme, you charge 20% VAT on sales (included in the selling price you enter) and reclaim the VAT you were charged on business costs and marketplace fees, since HMRC lets a Standard-scheme, VAT-registered business reclaim input VAT. This calculator assumes your materials, packaging and postage were bought VAT-inclusive from a VAT-registered supplier, so 20% is backed out of them for that reclaim.
